1. 4k movies
Digital cinema standard 4096 x 2160 (4k) movies are recorded to a CF cards at 24fps in M-JPEG (8bit 4.2.2) format, producing outstanding movie image quality suitable for the cinema industry.

2. Advanced video functions
Advanced video functions include Full HD (1080p) capture at variable frame rates up to 50 or 60fps – ideal for fast moving action or slow motion – plus custom control of exposure, audio and compression and Super 35mm crop option. Built-in Canon Log Gamma delivers neutral image quality with wide dynamic range (800%) for maximum freedom in post-production. An uncompressed HDMI output allows recording of 1920x1080 footage at 8bits 4.2.2 to external recorders to suit different workflows. A headphone socket is included to monitor the manually adjustable audio levels.

3. 18.1 MP Full Frame CMOS sensor
A Canon 18.1 MP Full Frame CMOS sensor delivers stunning performance, producing exceptional low noise, high-resolution images of photo agency quality, even in the darkest conditions. It also gives optimum results from wide-angle lenses and greater control over depth of field. 

4. Super high-speed stills
Capture every second of the action with up to 12fps continuous stills shooting (14fps in Super High speed shooting mode) in bursts of up to 180 large JPEG images (38 RAW).

5. Huge ISO range 
An exceptionally wide ISO range of 100 to 25600 for movies and 100-51200 for stills– expandable up to an incredible ISO 204800 – means shooting need never stop from the brightest conditions right through to near darkness.

6. 61 point AF system
A high-precision 61 point AF system features 41 high sensitivity cross type sensors, for fast, accurate focusing of fast moving subjects – whatever the lighting conditions, plus 5 dual cross type centre AF points for added precision. 

7. Dual “DIGIC 5+” processors
Canon’s latest generation Dual “DIGIC 5+” processors deliver the fastest and most advanced image processing to date for best-in-class image quality. 

8. Large, anti-reflective LCD
A high-resolution 1,040k-dot 3.2” Clear View II LCD screen, allows easy, accurate review of images and video. Superbly durable, an anti-reflective, hardened glass structure prevents reflections even in the brightest sunlight.

9. EF lens compatible
Compatible with the full range of Canon EF lenses, including EF Cinema lenses, as well as EX Speedlites and many other existing EOS accessories.
